July 2022: Maria Davila-Colon presents her data analytics research with the group in the REU research symposium poster session.
July 2022: Shashaani gives an intro to simulation session to ISE high school visitors.
July 2022: Shashaani wins the AAUW 2022 Research Publication Grants in Engineering, Medicine and Science. Founded in 1881, AAUW is one of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, due to the generosity and legacy of generations of AAUW members. These prestigious awards are highly competitive and selective. The grant will financially support the research group in achieving its academic and professional goals.
June 2022: Shashaani elected as treasurer of INFORMS Simulation (I-Sim) Society for two years to work with Jie Xu (president), Enlu Zhou (VP / president elect), Henry Lam (secretary), and Bahar Biller and David Eckman (council).
June 2022: Two of the three teams selected from ISE562-Sp22 to attend the Simio competition were among the winners:
Team “Just Claudia” with members Claudia Donahue and Alexej Lozevski was selected the 1st place!
Team “95% confident” with members Daniel Malerich and Kelby Mace received an honorable mention!
May 2022: Ha wins the Mentored Teaching Fellowship (MTF) from College of Engineering for the Fall 22 semester to work with Shashaani as his mentor for providing teaching assistance for ISE 441.

He joins Argonne National Lab in June 2022 for a second internship to work on Quantum Computing and Monte Carlo.
